Heading Home....

Visiting the stomping ground in Iowa for the folks' 50th anniversary this weekend.

Wahoo!
....quiet down! Corn is growing...

This will cause me to miss the 101-103 degree day long tournament in Natchitoches..... darn it
If it is 97 now with a Heat Index of 117, I can't imagine what it will be like on the rubber turf of NSU at 102.

Good news....after calling around to three dozen or so local businesses, we finally picked up a tractor tire (free!) for the S&C program here. Maybe I'll need to bring some 'real' ones back from JD in the QC.

Ark La Tex 7 on 7 Tournament

Congratulations to Loyola Prepatory (TFS client) for winning the Championship over Parkway High in the first annual Ark La Tex 7 on 7 tourney

Great showings by Homer, Haughton, North Desoto, Lakeview, and Mansfield, as well.
I think I won the Triple Crown for successfully pissing all their coaches off throughout the day as well.

Spring is Over....Now Its 7-on-7 Season

Now that Spring ball has concluded, we enter in the fantastic season of 7-on-7, hoping to strengthen our passing game and improve our coverage technique.

First instructional period starts tonight, with a tourney this weekend. 4 local scrimmages are planned with 2 state tournaments pencilled in prior to the LHSAA dead period.

Also promising, we plan to send 2 quarterback prospects to the Darin Slack Academy Camp in Texas next week. I can't speak highly enough about Coach Slack's coaching and impartation of pragmatic processing skills to his athletes.

Going over some issues from Spring Ball, we apparently don't want to play press man, and are going with loose/catch man which is fine, but a new challenge
